Museums are spaces for intercultural dialogue, for art and culture. On Avenida Jaime Roldós, 150 meters before the first roundabout in Gualaceo, there is the López Abad Museum, with fine artistic sculptures arranged in some 50 showcases.
There are more than 2,000 archaeological pieces such as utensils, tools, vessels and ancient images represent the settlements of pre-Columbian cultures.
LThe pieces belonged to Dr. Fausto López and he left them as an anthropological contribution to culture. Due to its shapes, models and colors, it is said that they belonged to the Paleolithic, Neolithic, Regional Development and Integration periods. The public attention is from Tuesday to Sunday from 09:00 to 17:00. The cost of admission for adults is USD 1, children 0.50 and foreigners 2.
