The most transcendent religious manifestation of the liturgical calendar is the birth of the Child Jesus. Every December 24, in Gualaceo there are processions where their participants (mostly children) with religious costumes (Jesus, the Virgin Mary, kings, shepherds …) and profane staging the biblical passages during the traditional Child Pass.
Colorful allegorical cars and horses are richly decorated (with food, drinks, fruits and ornaments) to transport the biblical characters, foremen, cholas … They are accompanied by the town band that intones the traditional Christmas carols. The explosion of the rockets put the Christmas touch.
