It is one of the most picturesque and charming communities. The Jadán parish is located 40 minutes from the ring of El Descanso, on the Cuenca-Azogues road. On the way, the washerwomen located in the river of the same name or the peasants who advance by weaving the traditional toquilla straw hat, make the landscape more picturesque.
The communities are settled between the elevations, interlaced by a network of roads and paths. This circuit of great attractive landscaping and cultural includes towns like Llayzhatán, Vegaspamba, Uzhoc, Chinchín …
The inhabitants live from agriculture, but also from the weavings of straw and the elaboration of cabuya piola sold in Cuenca. In the Central Plaza of the parish is the imposing church of stone, adobe and wood, where they venerate San Pedro, the Lord of Miracles and San Andrés. Around the temple there are houses that are over one hundred years old.
